What Is Merapi?

Adam has announced the new Merapi project. Merapi is a continuation of the Artemis project. A revival of sorts, or a rebirth. How did we come up with the name? Well.... Merapi is a volcano on the island of Java. See the connection? We decided that, like Jakarta, we'd be creative with the name as to associate the product with Java. Merapi is a stratovolcano. Strato is a word that means high, or up in the AIR (i.e. stratosphere). Also adding to this is the fact that, volcanos are very symbolic of change and renewal after the lava flow. All of this imagery, we felt, really represented what we wanted to achieve with Merapi. A strong connection between AIR and Java, and a sense of renewal or rebirth of the Artemis project.
